The elementary offerings in summer camp include a variety of interesting and engaging courses in the arts, sciences, technology, math, and language arts. Classes for elementary and middle school students meet each morning, Monday-Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Classes are small, allowing teachers to work closely with campers to meet their individual learning needs. Teachers utilize a variety of methods and materials to ensure the learning is meaningful and fun. All elementary and middle school campers participate in afternoon activities after their morning classes.
Mornings are organized by grade and ability, and are designed to provide grade level experiences in language arts, math, science, social studies and art. Lessons, activities and field trips revolve around an environmental theme which unites the learning and provides opportunities for adventure and exploration. Each two week session offers a different focus around the theme, so participating in multiple sessions adds additional opportunities for learning and of course, more fun!
